LEO ORTA

Leo Orta生于1993年的法国巴黎，是当代设计圈的年轻一代中最具代表性的人物之一。他在求学期间就开始进行各种极具爆发力的游击式设计展览，并将剧场性融入设计项目中。他的作品形式囊括了雕塑、装置和表演等多元媒介。 在2015年的时候和伙伴组成了OrtaMiklos双人组合，他们通过在作品中增加表演元素来划分艺术与设计之间的界限。他的作品旨在探讨人类存在的本质，以及人与社区和环境之间的社会情感联系。

Leo Orta参加了包括Frieze、FIAC、Design Miami和Art Basel等在内的一系列重要国际艺术博览会。 他的作品还曾在美国大都会艺术博物馆、法国蓬皮杜中心、Museo Marino Marini博物馆和埃因霍温Van Abbe博物馆等世界著名博物馆展出，并于纽约Friedman Benda画廊、柏林Functional Art画廊等举办个展。2021年，蓬皮杜中心将其作品 Bel Animal - Electric Chair 12纳入永久馆藏。

Leo Orta born in 1993 in Paris, France, he is one of the most representative figures in the young generation of contemporary design circles. During his studies, he began to carry out a variety of highly explosive guerrilla-style design exhibitions and to integrate performance into his design projects. His works take the form of sculpture, installation and performance. In 2015, he and his partner formed the duo OrtaMiklos, who demarcated the line between art and design by adding performance elements to their work. His work aims to explore the nature of human existence and the socio-emotional connections between people and their communities and environment.

Leo Orta has participated in a number of major international Art fairs including Frieze, FIAC, Design Miami and Art Basel. His works have also been exhibited in world-famous museums such as Metropolitan Museum of Art, Center Pompidou, Museo Marino Marini, Van Abbe Museum Eindhoven, and solo exhibitions in Friedman Benda Gallery in New York and Functional Art Gallery in Berlin. In 2021, the Pompidou Centre added his work - Bel Animal-Electric Chair 12 to its permanent collection.
