SOFT BAROQUE

来自伦敦的设计双人组合Soft Baroque以其梦幻般的功能性作品而闻名。他们的设计以当今市场上较为突出的物品的荒谬性与基本的设计观念相互斗争的形式进行表达。自2013年成立以来，Soft Baroque两位成员Saša Štucin和Nicholas Gardner找到了属于自己的定位：玩物性、感知、表面及“欺骗”，不断模糊传统家居用品和概念艺术之间、2D数字图像和3D感官材料之间的界限。他们实验方法的参考对象从家居小配件、现代大师作品到宜家家具和数码照片。

London-based design duo Soft Baroque is known for its dreamlike, functional pieces. Their designs are expressed in the form of a struggle between the absurdity of the more prominent objects on the market today and basic design concepts. Since its founding in 2013, Sašaštucin and Nicholas Gardner have found a niche for Soft Baroque: plaything, perception, surface and 'deception', blurging the lines between traditional household objects and conceptual art, between 2D digital images and 3D sensory materials. The subjects of their experiments range from gadgets and modern masters to IKEA furniture and digital photographs.

The real-life couple met as students at the Royal College of Art in London, Their work has been exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Swiss Institution, Etage Projects in Copenhagen, Friedman Benda in New York and global fairs, They also co-produced the superhuman installation for the Danish Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Biennale. Soft Baroque also receive direct commissions from private companies, such as the fashion house Balenciaga.
